Biography

Gary Burbach is chairman of the board of directors of Procyrion Inc., a private medical device company focused on the treatment of chronic heart failure; chairman of the board of Rampart, a private medical technology company providing solutions for interventional medicine radiation safety; and a director of Sight Sciences (Nasdaq – SGHT), a leader in providing interventional ophthalmology solutions. He has also served on the board of directors of several other medical technology companies, including most recently Fluidigm Corporation, Artelon and Brius Technologies.

From 2006 to 2014, Mr. Burbach was president, chief executive officer and director of Thoratec Corporation, a leader in innovative medical devices for circulatory support. Prior to that, he held executive leadership positions at Digirad Corporation, Philips Medical Systems and ADAC Laboratories. Mr. Burbach also spent six years at McKinsey & Company, Inc., focused primarily on the firm’s healthcare practice.

Mr. Burbach received a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Stanford University and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School
