Nicole W. Piasecki
Nicole W. Piasecki is a 40-year veteran of the aerospace and defense industry. She worked for Boeing, a $60B aerospace and defense company, for over 25 years and served on the Boeing Commercial Leadership team for over 10 years. She held several senior roles, including overseeing the company’s strategic decision to launch the 787 Dreamliner and 737 MAX airplanes. During Piasecki’s tenure at Boeing, she led the Propulsion Systems Division, Business Development, Strategy, Marketing and Industrial Policy departments, and was President of Boeing Japan.
She is the current chair of Kymeta Corporation, a mobile satellite communications antenna company, is a senior advisor to Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and sits on a number of other boards, including The Stimson Center, a Washington D.C. think tank focused on security.
Ms. Piasecki has held several U.S. government roles, including an appointment to the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Management Advisory Council by Secretary Mineta of the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT). She also served on the USDOT Future of Aviation Advisory Committee, where she chaired the Safety Committee under Secretary La Hood. Piasecki was appointed to the board of directors of the San Fransisco Federal Reserve Bank Seattle branch in 2012 and served a full term.
Piasecki lives in Seattle and has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Yale University and an MBA from the Wharton School.
